One of the main objectives to your dental visit with us is to make the experience as seamless and stress free as possible. We will ask you to complete a medical history form on arrival, this not only allows you an opportunity to tell us about any medications you may be on or illness you may have experienced but to also give us an over view of your dental history. The last section of the form is called Healthy Smile Profile; on this section you can highlight any areas of concern with regards to your dental health.

We will first invite you to discuss this completed form with your dentist in our consultation room; this is a relaxed environment away from the surgery. After this you will be invited into the dental surgery for your examination.

Your dentist will check your teeth (dental decay, tooth function, your bite), your gum health (periodontal exam) and your soft tissue (mouth cancer check). All of these separate examinations are documented. Your dentist may wish to take some digital x-ray at this point.

Once the examination has been completed you will be invited back to the consultation room to discuss any finding with your dentist. After this discussion has been completed and you are happy that you fully understand any treatment required and of course all of your options, your dentist will invite you to take a seat in the waiting room, whilst they write your personal treatment plan for you.
