Mr Kamal Iskander, Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician, is a nationally accredited Endometriosis surgeon, at London NorthWest Healthcare NHS Trust.

He has gained over 30 years of experience in his field. His mantra as a physician is that regular screening and checks are the key to a healthy life.

He advocates preventative medicine with regular gynaecological consultations and ultrasound scanning when appropriate. He is renowned for the management and treatment of of severe endometriosis in women.

Mr Iskander conducted research in Reproductive Medicine at Edinburgh University for his MD, to study the management of miscarriage. He trained in aspects of assisted conception at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. 

Mr Iskander is highly experienced in the use of advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, for which he is a strong advocate. In particular for laparoscopic subtotal hysterectomy (day-case hysterectomy) where his experience has demonstarted that this less invasive technique leads to shorter recovery periods for patients.
