London GP

A general practitioner (GP) is a health professional who practices primary care with regular monitoring of the patient. They diagnose symptoms of possible illnesses and can, in certain cases, refer their patient to a specialist for more specific care.

Why would I need to consult with a general practitioner?

The GP forms the foundation of Great Britain’s health and public health policy. They are each patient’s main point of contact, regardless of age or health requirements.

A GP specializes in general medicine. To this end, they have knowledge of the vast majority of illnesses and disorders affecting the health of their patients. Consulting can often result in this doctor referring their patients to specialist doctors according to the illness presented. They can therefore recommend a consultation with a cardiologist or rheumatologist for example and their role is therefore essential in the general population’s healthcare.

However, before referring patients to a specialist, it is up to the general practitioner to make a primary diagnosis and refer the patient to the most suitable doctor. They can also prescribe additional tests, such as an ultrasound, an x-ray or a scan.

Consulting a general practitioner (GP) is also the ideal solution for treating day-to-day health problems. From flu to colds, a medical certificate to be able to participate in physical activity to a vaccination, a general practitioner manages the health the health of the youngest members of society to the oldest.

Where can I find a general practitioner?

The main role of a GP in the public health system is having to face so many demands. There are more than 40,000 GPs working for more than 10 00 practices in the UK. Most GPs are members of the Royal College Of General Practitioners (RCGP).

In London, making an appointment with an NHS GP has become very difficult and the appeal of a private GP is almost vital to relieve a system which is on the brink of collapse.

Because you cannot call all the general practitioners in London, unless you would like to spend several hours doing so, the Findoc solution is the ideal answer. In a few clicks, you will have an appointment with your GP in a reasonable space of time.

Findoc also offers home visits via its exclusive partnership with GPDQ. With GPDQ, you no longer need to go out, your GP will come directly to you!
